Dr. Pratt is a native Floridian and grew up in Crystal River, Florida. After graduating from Crystal River High School in 2003, he attended the University of Florida and graduated with honors in 2007, achieving a B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science and a minor in Chemistry. He then attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2011. While in veterinary school, he performed externships at North Florida Animal Hospital and Blue Pearl Veterinary Specialists to gain hands-on experience.
After graduation, Dr. Pratt worked as an associate veterinarian at Bluffs Animal Hospital in Pinellas County FL. Along with working full time in general practice, he gained additional experience in emergency medicine and critical care by working night shifts at St. Petersburg Emergency Veterinary Clinic.
In 2014 Dr. Pratt decided to make North Florida his permanent home and purchased Lake City Animal Hospital from Drs. Kevin and Tracy Hawthorne.
Dr. Pratt's clinic interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and internal medicine. When he's not working he enjoys fishing, hiking and anything else that involves being outdoors. Dr. Pratt shares his home with his beautiful wife Brittany and their daughter Adeline. He also has a labrador retriever named Penny and a cat named Applebottom.
Brittany is the wife Dr. Pratt’s and oversees financial and regulatory management of the hospital along with numerous other hats she wears. When she’s not working Brittany is very busy trying to keep up with their two young daughters Adeline and Maggie.
Tiffany worked for Lake City Animal Hospital for 3 years before leaving to pursue work outside the field of veterinary medicine. After a year away from the profession she realized that her true passion is helping pets and returned to Lake City Animal Hospital. Tiffany has worked in every area of our hospital which gives her a unique perspective on how our hospital runs and how our clients’ needs can be exceeded.
Tiffany is Fear Free certified and helps facilitate ways that pet owners can get their pet to and from our hospital with the least amount of fear and anxiety possible. Tiffany shares her home with her beautiful daughter Lilly and her pitbull Jada.
Prior to joining Lake City Animal Hospital in 2014, Gena had worked for several years as a veterinary technician in Miami and then the Gainesville area. For the last four years, Gena has been a valued member of our team. Her gentle way with animals and charismatic personality make Gena an asset to our team and someone who always looks out for the pets well being first.
In her spare time, Gena can often be found at the local ballparks cheering on her four sons who are all talented little league baseball players.
A true animal lover Gena has 4 dogs and 6 cats.
Delia received her AAS degree in Veterinary Technology /Allied Health in 2013. She maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout the program and became a certified veterinary technician upon completion. She then worked at a progressive small animal hospital North Carolina for the last 4 years before relocating to Lake City. In her spare time, Delia enjoys gardening and sewing and has also and written and published several children books. She has 2 dachshunds named Oscar and Bones, 2 chihuahuas named Pan and Simon, a Schnauzer named Luna and a Shih Poo named Muggle.
Mikey recently joined our team and is very excited to expand his knowledge and learn more about the fascinating world of veterinary medicine. Mikey loves sports especially when the Gators are playing. He has two dogs, a Jack Russel terrier named Jack and a Yorkie named Lil Bit.
Nikki loves interacting with our clients and their pets. She will be eager to greet you at the front desk! Nikki has a cat named Jasper and enjoys going to the gym and being outdoors.
Harleigh recently started her career at LCAH after always wanting to be a part of the animal industry.
Missy has been with LCAH since April and enjoys taking care of the animals that are boarding with us and making sure that their stay with us is as pleasant as possible. Missy shares her home with her fiancé Phillip and their handsome son Wyatt. Missy has a Labrador named Timber.
